I curated and facilitated the sale of an artist’s collection to Sawadee Thai Restaurant and Gallery in Downtown Jersey City, NJ.

Art Statement and Bio
JoanMarie Palmer is an award-winning artist who moved to the New York area from Bucks County, PA in 1989 to further pursue her studies and a career in art. JoanMarie shows her work frequently around New York and New Jersey as well as Cape Cod and the vibrant art scene in Philadelphia. She has several paintings in Private as well as public collections.
'"A brush Stroke takes a second, preserves a moment, and lasts a lifetime.' As i eagerly apply paint to the surface, conceiving contrasting values and abstract shapes, i watch my paintings come alive as they begin to embody the desired atmosphere to evoke a mood and create a memory. I work mostly in oils as the richness of the oil paint allows me the freedom to spontaneously capture a significant moment in time enabling me to preserve history with each stroke of my brush."
JoanMarie received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts, New York City, and has worked briefly in Graphic Design and Advertising before returning to the fine art of expression.
